Creating opportunities for young people interested in learning about the industry and those seeking to be designers are crucial parts of our business model. We offer 2 resources that offer participants emersion in the world of apparel design and manufacturing

INTERNSHIPS: we offer internship opportunities for young people of varying skill levels, no experience necessary. Participants must have a positive attitude, be willing to work, and commit to working at least 16 hours of work a week. All interns must interview for the position, be at least 17 years of age, participate in a basic skills assessment, learning plan and career exploration. Interns work on actual client projects, learning skills such as:

• Cutting

• Measuring

• Sewing (industrial Sewing Machine)

• Pattern Making

• Concept Development

• Sourcing

• Production Preparation

• Capsule/Line Development

INCUBATOR PROGRAM: In Spring 2023 we will be launching an incubator program for more experienced young designers. This program will allow designers that have a capsule/line in development to utilize our manufacturing space and access our services free of charge or at greatly reduced rates. Interested designers must apply for the program and participate in an evaluation process. Accepted designers will have 6-12 moths to participate in the program dependent on the scope of their capsule/line. Accepted designers will receive the following services:

• Access to our design/manufacturing space and all the machines and tools on site

• Capsule Design Consultation

• Sourcing Services & Access to wholesale Fabrics

• Production assistance

• Marketing Consultation

• Mentoring
